How to report suspected child abuse

How to report suspected child abuseIf you have any good reason to suspect that a child is being abused, report it. It is better to report a suspicion and be wrong than to not report it and be right! In the majority of states, there is no criminal or civil liability for reporting suspected child abuse in “good faith.”

How do you report it? Call your local Child Protective Services agency. State, not federal, agencies have jurisdiction over matters of child abuse. Different states have different laws and procedures both for reporting and for investigating.
